Randy speaks the awful truth here: to truly be like Jesus, we can no longer be selfish and judgmental. It is a painful journey to fall to grace, because it means one can no longer act on human urges regarding OTHERS. I have often said, that even if someone murdered my family, or harmed me in any way, I really hope I could stand by my conviction to forgive and not wish retribution on the person. But I fear it would be too much. I identify so much with the prostitute in this parable. I always have. I guess thats why it hurt me too to see what people said about Osama and Casey. I thought, what if this was me??? I think, what's the difference in what Osama did, and what Andrew Jackson did? I don't know. We can't villify one person and worship the other just because they are on our side...or the side we THINK is right....ok I will stop now.
